H pylori and not losing more weight

It has been 14days now and I have not lost a jot on the scales.
I have h pylori, But I had a baby in December and am exclusively breastfeeding. So for now, I can not take antibiotics.
Also, I had gestational diabetes and now only eat spelt or Kamut and veggies and lean meats mostly.
I am not frustrated to the point of having a splurge because I have made a lifestyle change, no white flour "stuff" etc.
But it would be nice to see the scales move!
First 5 days I lost about 3kg. Maybe that was water? But I have been walking my butt off with my hubby and he sweats and he is skinny!
I wonder if the h pylori can cause water retention. I had it before and it caused me severe stomach pains whereby I had to eat. Now that isnt the case. Every 2 weeks or so I seem to have a bad night with cramps and sometimes vomit.
Any information from experience from anyone?

No, h. Pylori does not cause water retention. To lose 3kg in 5 days is very fast and probably water. If you've only been doing this for 14 days what kind of results were you expecting? Just keep logging everything, maintain a calorie deficit, drink your water! Watch your sodium intake and move. It will come off.0

First thing you need to do is get your diary accurate. You have numerous quick added calories which are unlikely to be accurate. You need to weigh and measure everything accurately. Also considering you don't have huge amounts of weight 3 kig in around 3 weeks averages at around a kilo a week which is a really good loss. Have some patience log accurately and you'll reach your goals. Weightloss is never linear.0

My goal is 1kg a week for a time then .5kg a week until I reach my goal. So I dont want a quick-fast-hurry weightloss.
Just wanted to make sure something wasnt wrong.
AND YES- I have had quick add. That is to supplement just in case I dont weigh or measure things. So its not extra food. It is actually being conservative and not sure if I added the amounts correctly.

Who said you cannot take antibiotics while nursing a baby? I took them while nursing a couple of my kids. There are some you can take.0

I had h pylori and so feel for you - not nice at all (and the antibiotics aren't over good either but do the job!)
stick at it, keep logging keep moving and good luck x0 -
I feel for you. Unless the antibiotic needed to calm the H Pylori is specific and against your child's interests there should be something you can have.
I have been thinking H Pylori may be related to salicylate sensitivity. A girl I know has the same diagnosis but her response was "I'm not prepared to forgo apples and all to see" when I suggested it to her. She only had flare ups not on gong contamination.
Because you are feeding your little one you are probably desperate to do everything right but this could make your exposure to salicylate more extreme. You mentioned several things which made my ears prick up. May I suggest you try to get to immunology because there could be so many factors at work here and it is as well to get them excluded by the experts. You need to be able to feel better quickly.
I have been very short here but if you would like to know more please contact me and I will detail what I have discovered.0 -
There are very few antibiotics which are not safe while breastfeeding, and gestational diabetes ends with delivery. I suggest you go back to your dr and discuss your health again, you mightbe suffering and restricting yourself for no reason.0

OMG. I am in Austria...and think if you dont tell them ...they dont know????
There could be so many things! I think I will have to investigate.
I took a round of antibiotics 2yrs ago....and then took another round with 2 antibiotic+proton inhibitor while pregnant....so IF I were to take it again....it would be THREE TIMES!
The only good thing is that it causes me to eat more healthily than I ever have...no drinking alcohol...or overt splurges on sweets on a regular basis.
I have no idea what to tell the doctor to test me for.
Good lord...complicated!0
