Toning advice

Hi there,

Im new to the excerise and toning stuff,
I have severe anxiety, and tend to stay away from public places, espeically the gym, just not something I have been able to get over phobia wise yet,

In the mean time, I am doing the 30 day squat challenge,
I have no equiptment, and I dont have the funds to buy any, but I am looking to tone my butt, my stomach, and my obliques, For cardio, I just walk the stairs in my apartment, There is 10 flights in total, it isnt much but its what I have, I am looking for some advice and tips on how to tone my areas at home, with little or no equiptment. any suggestions, and excercises would be greatly appreciated, Everyone on here gives amazing help and my ears are open :)

Thanks so much in advance.

well there are plenty of body weight progressions to help you on your way.

    nerd fitness
    strength unbound
    you are your own gym
    convict conditioning
barbell brothers (think that's who that is)

youtube channels with more random- mostly body weight/limited equipment at home workouts.
    fitnessblender
    lovingfit.com
    zuzka light
    the daily hiit

secondly- toning is not a thing- ti's kind of a fake word made up by women's fitness magazines to get women to weight train without sounding like weight training.

what it really means is that you have muscle definition- which comes from dense muscle and reduced body fat.

Only way to do that is to lift heavy- what you life is irrelevant- which is why body weight progressions are fine- all that matters is that you are training to progressively load your muscles.

stairs are great- you can run them- or do sprints- or what have you. There is no NEED to go to the gym- it's just a really efficient way to get a access to a lot of equipment.

Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. When you're done with that, Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30. Also, there are tons of free videos on YouTube, including some of the levels of the Jillian Michaels videos. Or you could buy weights for your house.
