Hey ya'll. I have lost 20 pounds which is great and all but it's stil not where I want to be. I'm really not happy with my body at all. I realy need to tone up. My goal is to have visible abs..not bulky abs though. I eat low carbs and still try and stay between 1200 to 1400 calories a day. I exercise at least 30 min on my lunch break mon-friday. My exercise regimen is mon wed and fri i do body weight strength training which consist of burpees lunges squats tricep dips jumping jacks planks jump squats donkey kicks push ups etc. on tues and thurs i walk and jog. I know I need to do more exercising outside of my lunch breaks. Any advice would help.! I have a picture of what i currently am at which I'm not 100% pleased with but its better than before.

What exactly are you asking? You seem to being doing a really good job! I hope my tummy starts to look like that soon!
If you want more defined muscles, it is my impression that you should eat at a surplus and hit your protein goals.0 -
What are "bulky" abs??
You want your abs to show you need to reduce your body fat %. Unless you are extremely short, sounds like you need to eat more. You also need to start advancing beyond body weight exercises and add load. Focus on heavy lifting, eat more, get enough protein and they will come out. But if you continue with a large deficit your body will hold on to the belly fat.0 -
Well since I'm doing low carb I do eat a lot of meat which gives me a lot of protein!...I just want to be more defined and chiseled. I am a newb to strength training etc so ive just been doing things on pinterest etc. I'd love some advice what other people do. I seem to have a hard time losing this last bit of flab on my tummy and thighs.0

I mean hey it works for some girls and that makes them happy and theyre sexy, but for me personally i just want i guess like washboard abs? lol not sure how to explain. I really need to tone my inner thighs my outer thighs have a lot of muscle but my inner thighs still have flab which I HATE!!!0

Hi
First of all, congrats for losing the 20 llbs that is really amazing.....it does take time to adjust to the changes in the body and the brain has to register the changes......I think you look great by the way.....you sound like you are doing all the right things for the body training and conditioning......I can only suggest that you may try some running as this tones up the body as well as burning the calories....weight training is supposed to be really good for honing the abs.....I have the same tummy as you......I think with time you will get results and maybe stay patient with your workout and the results will show gradually..... I am in my 40s and my tummy area is still wobbly but you are in your 20s and your skin will have more elastin so you won't have lose skin problems like I have......stay patient you are doing good!0 -
Well, if your ticker is correct and you really still have 23 pounds to lose (hard to believe from your photo unless you carry all of it in your butt and thighs), losing the rest of the weight should let the toned muscles that you're creating with the exercise to show through.
What sort of help are you looking for? Calorie intake seems OK (a bit low-ish, but if it's working for you why fix what ain't broken?), and your exercise regimen is enough to get a decently toned body.0 -
Keep doing what you're doing...you're doing great! It'll come0

Exercises that tone the inner thigh would be awesome. I'm currently 142 pounds and im 5'4"..i'd love to be at 120 to 125. I feel like that would be an average weight for me. I need more exercises to add into my regimen so i can do it at home when im off.0
