weight gain on a low carb diet

Hi I just started My Fitness Pal and Im trying to put on weight/for 2500 calories per day I would need 313 gms of carbs,83 gms of fat and 125 grams of protein,and the problem is I have type 2 diabetes and can only have 60 grams of carbs per day,any suggestions???

    2,500 cals doing lowish carbs isn't all that difficult, fatty cuts of meat, full fat dairy etc

    Change your macros. At 2500 cals 60g of carbs is around 10% split the other 90% between fat and protein. As someone with diabetes I'm sure you already know how to limit your carbs. Change your macros at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/change_goals_custom :flowerforyou:

    ^Problem solved.

    I used a ketogenic diet for about a year at 4,000cals a day. It's not hard at all. Here's what I ate:

    Breakfast:
    6 eggs
    2 scoops protein powder

    Lunch:
    12oz beef of some sort

    Snack:
    2 cans tuna w/ mayo and celery

    Dinner:
    Salad w/ Bleu Cheese dressing and lots of meat on it

    Post Training:
    6 eggs
    2 scoops protein powder

    This is just an example as lunch and dinner would vary somewhat but breakfast, snack and post training were almost always the same.

    I add those whole egg or egg whites oin a carton to my shakes for more protein and they have no fat or choleserol if you are worried about that. I love some eggs. Eggs are very bio-avail source of protein. Brotein all day bro.
