YAYOG - Right desicion?

For the first 50lbs of my weightloss journey, I have purely done cardio and dieting. It's worked, but the closer I get to a healthy BMI, the more I wanted the toned, tight look.

Problems:
I've never lifted weights and have no idea where to start.
I go to the gym at 5am due to work/children schedules, and can't see a trainer that early.
I rather do quite a bit of cardio to get my metabolism up in the morning since I sit at a desk all day work.

Decided an at home workout would probably be best and downloaded the You Are Your Own Gym app. My plan was to stick to my 1200 net calories (I'm only 4'11") and 5x week cardio. Just add these workouts in at night 3-4x a week with Sunday being a rest period from all workouts.

I just wanted anyone's opinion on the app. Did I choose the right one for a beginner? How soon did you see results? Did you change your diet? What do you think of my plan?
