Protein help

I am having so much trouble meeting my protein goals. I am allergic to peanuts, so the easy answer of "peanut butter" is out. I'm also on a limited budget. I've been eating tuna and Greek yogurt, but it isn't enough. Then I tried to buy a protien shake, but ended up buying a shake with 43g of carbs, mostly sugar. Any suggestions? I'm not against protein shakes, they just have to be lower carb, not soy protein, and affordable.

Eggs, egg whites, boiled eggs,. The best protein powder for the money is MTS Machine whey. Low sugar, low carb, and it is delicious. Optmimum is very good, read the label before you fork over the cash.

My favorites are kefir, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese and eggs. I really like the Optimum Nutrition protein powder and Quest bars too.

I eat the same stuff everyone else mentions.

Nut butters are very high in calories for the amount of protein you get, so forget about those.

Chicken breast or canned white chicken is about the same cost as most protein powders I use optimum natural whey. Also, eggs whites will work. All these are around the same cost per gram of protein. If you ahve a wholesale club membership they often have all those items.

Protein bars are a bit more expensive per serving of protein, Many are around 1.00 in the wholesale club (pure protein or detour brand) quest bars are really good but too expensive for casual consumption. at over $2 each.
