Ok, I'd already seen an inch loss in my bust - sadly NOT in the cup size...GRR! - but I was feeling pretty down because I've only dropped from a 16 to a 14 in jeans. Ok, the 14s are starting to feel a little looser, but...

Last night I opened one of the closet doors and saw the not one but TWO Halloween costumes I'd gotten last year in trying to find a costume for a party. None of the places around here let you try them on, so you just have to guess as to if their version of a given size will fit. One would have been ok...if I'd slit the band on the sleeves. The other was not zipping up for anything. And of course they aren't returnable either.

I figured what the heck...might as well see how they don't fit still. I was already sad about other stuff, so...

The one that wouldn't zip for anything? Zips and fits like a dream now! I'd just have to get leggings or something to wear under it because the skirt in the back barely if at all covers my butt. The one that was tight on my arms is now LOOSE in the body and still snug in the arms, but not cut off the circulation tight!

Progress!

Sadly, I doubt I'll have anywhere to wear them this year (long story...and for reasons that are in no way, shape or form my fault, neither half of the couple who had the party last year is speaking to me). :(

That's awesome! But at least you can wear those when you hand out candy! :)

Hey, Hey, it is all about perspective. I went from a size 16 jeans to a size 14. I am happy about my size 14. I want to get to size 10, so I'm still working hard. Be happy about what you have accomplished, not about what you haven't. You will get to where you want to be with hard work. BTW, I also want my bust gone, want my 36B back!!!! just more motivation for me to keep on trucking, and celebrate my small successes so far. That is good news about the costumes fitting!

Very true about a loss being a loss. I was just all excited about going down 4 inches in bra band size, then went to try on jeans that day and was BARELY squeezing into a 14. So you're right. I'm making progress!
