bathroom time question

Why is it when I eat normally, I poop once every 3-5 days? And when I'm on low calorie diet, I poop almost every day but I basically eat the same thing just fewer of them?

    Are you drinking more water on your low calorie diet? Proper hydration can make you have to go more often as your body won't try to hold on to it to for longer to re-absorb water.

    Good point about the water!

    Could you be eating more high fiber during your low calorie meals also? I have also been reading about probiotics and the thought is to strive for regularity at least once a day.

    I drink 5 cups of tea with sugar but I didn't eat veggies at all, the first time I went dieting, I ate 1200 cals and tried to get as much as veggies as I could but I didn't go regularly. when I completely restrict my calories (under 1000cal) it started to happen regularly. There's no way I have to eat under 1000cal everyday right? So I wonder what's wrong. I used to drink water as much as I could but now I drink tea almost all the time.
