Question about high fat diets

Quick question, a two parter.

1) Is there any health concerns raised about eating a high fat diet (a diet where fat represents something like 40-60% of your caloric usage).

2) Aren't all diets that make you lose something on the order of a 1-2 pounds a week actually high fat diets? If you are losing that much that means you are averaging something like a 700 calorie deficit a day. That caloric deficit is made up by your body by burning fat meaning that on top of whatever fat is in your diet heap on an extra 700 calories worth from your body. At that burn rate your largest source of calories for your bodies needs is most likely fat even if you are on a "low fat" diet.

Just thinking that if I am dieting and aiming for 1-2 pounds of fat loss per week should I be concerned about the effects of a high-fat diet long term?
