Hunger vs output

I was wondering if anyone could explain this: 2 days in a row I've had the same breakfast - greek yoghurt with some homemade granola (honey, peanut butter, fruit, seeds and nuts) at exactly the same time of day, exactly the same amount of food. Yesterday I went for a walk before breakfast, then rode my bike to the office (10km). I felt really full all day - but ate for the rest of the day(chicken and pesto with veggies, some carrots and celery for a snack, a quinoa roast vegetable and chickpea salad for dinner with a pear as dessert).

Today I did some bodyweight exercises before the exact same breakfast, but walked to the bus stop and caught the bus to the office. My stomach was growling from about 9:30am onwards, and I ended up having lunch at 11:30 so I could concentrate on work again.

The other difference was that yesterday I didn't really have a good output in the bathroom - this morning there have been multiple events.

Is there a link between how hungry you feel and how much you've pooped? Or is it just the difference in exercise levels catching up to me?

Probably just the exercise. But could also be everything else you ate the day, water consumption, sleep, stress/ hormones. just about anything. Most stuff you can't really compare one day t the next, just too many variables.

Another factor may be that bodyweight/ strengthtraining exercise may have a tendency to create an 'afterburn' of calories for some time after the activity so you may be experiencing this. Try eating a small snack that includes protein/ complex carbs if you feel hungry after bodyweight exercises - I steer clear of fat and sugar or simple carbs at this time.

I find certain exercises make me more hungry than others, regardless of calorie burn swimming makes me ravenous, as does strength training.
