Is lamb good for you? I haven't had it in awhile...I know the only reason my mom didn't buy it often when I was a kid, was it was expensive. I'm looking at a list of meats available through a co-op some of my friends have... and I'm thinking of getting some lamb. My boyfriend ate lamb at his friend's rich parents' house and LOVED it so I'd love to make some for him but I really don't know anything about it, nutrition-wise!

Supposedly, yes. I am personally against it but nutritionally it's fine.

I just ate it yesterday... If trimmed, and cooked with minimal oil, it's pretty darn good. :-)

Choose a lean cut and don't eat to much of it. Most of it is raised naturally (on grass) so it is healthier than many red meats!

Eat it all the time, the leaner cuts are great. Australia has a huge Lamb industry, you can even buy a whole side and have it butchered and then put it in the freezer and try every cut!

Or even better buy the whole animal and you get a lovely lambskin aswell!

Like any meat, in moderation it's fine and it depends on how you prepare it.
I like my lamb chops grilled.
