*NEW Health Issues!!~ *

Well I have been having some issues lately. I saw my family Dr. on Monday and she prescribed Acid Reflux pills. I take one in the morning before my day starts or any meals. I was told to avoid acid, citris, spicy and high fatty foods. Also limit coffee (which I only drink one a day) and no more pop, water is the best choice. I started planning my meals around not including things that trigger Acid Reflux.
THEN....I mentioned to my Dr. that the last time I had something with hazelnut in it my tongue and throat swelled. She referred me to an allergist. I was able to go in Wednesday for allergy testing (someone had cancelled their appointment). Immediately I flared up with many things, but had to lay for 20 minutes without moving. I had bad allergic reaction to 3 type of trees and food items that are part of that particular tree. Now my diet has to be changed even MORE to not include these foods.
I also try to choose healthy items good for diebetic diet. Fruits and vegetables are important. I am thinking with allergies to certain favorite fruits now, I can't figure out what fruit to eat. I get bored of the same one all the time. Are berries a good choice, like do they contain acid to trigger the reflux?? I can't eat apples, grapes, kiwi, pears, peaches, citrus fruits. Mainly I've been thinking only water packed fruit and veggies are my best choice. I can't eat celery, dislike and I seem to have allergic reaction to it.
Does anyone know of a nutrionist that can help plan meals for me?? Like an online one that is no cost or can refer me to a very low cost one?? I'm at a plateau what to make for me to eat and haven't been eating enough meals. I have to eat 6 small meals a day for the acid reflux, but also my favorite things I can't have due to allergies. The allergy specialist wrote me a prescription to the EpiPen also, as I started breaking out in bumps around the test area from quite a few things.
Thanks for any help!!~

Does your health insurance cover nutritional counseling? I know mine does in certain circumstances. It is worth looking into anyway.0

Not sure if it's covered. I know the cost can be claimed as a medical expense. I will have to look into it for sure. I didn't want to have to pay to see someone and hardly get a credit on the tax return. Only a certain percent is claimed which of course is based on the individuals income earned. Thanks for the suggestion0

Definitely check in to it, as seeing a dietician is covered in many plans as long as it's "prescribed" by your doctor. I think I'd start with making lists, one you can and one you can't have. List every ingredient you can think of. Then begin attempting to create menus from your list.
Once you are on the meds for a bit, you should be able to eat more of those foods which currently cause your reflux. That might give you more wiggle room. You will have to experiment with one food at a time and see how you feel afterwards.0
