Hi there, am just curious and apologize if there's already a post in here. Does everyone measure and log the calories in spices like cinnamon, pepper, salt, cummin etc..if so where do you get the calorie count per serving if there is no nutritional label? Thank you so much.

The spices I use for my food has no calories.. for the most part, as far as I know, they don't have calories. If you're truly curious and need to know, I would suggest using google and seeing if you can find anything. I don't want to give misinformation haha

Never thought of googling them haha I am newer to spices as I have ever only used salt and pepper. If I use the scanner to add a food on my whole pepper corns it says 5 per tsp. They are the cosco Kirkland brand. I see so many recipes that wouldn't seem to work if the spices were not added in o figured I would give it a try. Thanks again

Some spices do - such as 1 Tbsp. garlic powder has 27 calories according to the brand I use, but 28 according to usda. I was surprised to see this as I use garlic powder quite liberally. For some reason some spices, such as onion powder, have a varying range of calories depending on the brand, so when that happens I try to just stick with what the brand says or if I can't find the brand, choose the usda calorie count. But a small amount of spices goes pretty far so I don't worry if I don't measure or count exactly as the calorie count for most spices is pretty nominal.
