Not losing

I am eating about 1200 calories a day do 30-45 min of cardio 5 times a week. Do some strength training like push ups, lunges, planking. The weight just seems to bounce up and down. I will lose a pound then gain it then lose it. I weigh myself each morning so I can have a fair number. I know it will come off in the long term but was wondering if this happpend to others?

    Are any of these activities new for you? I find that when I add something new, even something relatively simple like a regular 2 mile walk, my weight loss stalls for a bit while my body adjusts to the change. Maybe that's a possibility for you. Another possibility is that you may not be eating enough, which sounds weird I know, but you are pretty active and I'd keel over if I were doing what you are on 1200 calories. Maybe take a look at your BMR and the number of calories that your body absolutely needs to keep itself alive and see how that compares.

    First of any MAN should be eating more than 1200 gross calories. Gross calories means you eat exercise calories back....to keep the deficit in check.

    Not eating enough can lead to fat+muscle loss....as opposed to mainly fat loss. A benefit of resistance training is to keep muscle while eating at a deficit ......but the deficit should at least be reasonable.

    Second, weighing everyday can have that up/down effect. Are you looking for trends? That's where real weight loss will be.

    Are you measuring or weighing portions? Sometimes weighing (especially dry goods) can be very different.
