i was wondering if you think it is possible to lose around 10-14 lbs in roughly 4 months?
i currently weigh 150lbs and i am looking to get down to about 135-140.
I know the biggest part in helping me achieve this will be diet, but do you think doing at home workouts with weights such as jillian micheals dvds will help also??
thanks

how did you achieve this? was it simple calorie deficit or mixed with exercise??0 -
Absolutely possible!
Just set your calorie goals to lose 1lb a week and go for it. Exercise will help some with the weight loss although you are correct and that mostly comes from diet. But exercise is great for your heart (cardio) and great for shaping up (resistance & strength training / weights) so along with the weight loss you will feel and look great.
Good luck!0 -
The closer you are to goal, the more slowly you lose. That's just how the human body works. A healthy, realistic goal at your size is .5 lb. per week.

Deficit with some exercise added - not much, mostly walking and jogging. I didn't log anything my Fitbit couldn't see.0 -

awesome, well done!
I've just successfully worked out my BMR, TDEE and how many calories per day i will need to create a deficit.
Next step will be buying some scales and hopefully i will be on the road to losing these last few stubborn pounds!!!0 -
I've lost almost 12 in a little over 2 months. Soooo yeah you can do that! The first few lbs come off rather quickly, but after that it is a bit slow and unsteady. I didn't drop for a while after I hit 7/8 lbs, now I'm starting to lose again.
Make sure you are logging accurately, never go over maintenance, and exercise if you know you will go over.0
