How to be good while on the go?

Good morning, MFP people! I'm still new here and figuring things out, so forgive me if this is a bit redundant or has been asked before.
As a preface, I'm a non-traditional college student. After being away from academia for about 6 years, I'm back and working toward my bachelor's degree. In addition to this, I do a lot of public relations work with a business my husband and I are working on establishing. These two tend to combine into some terrible habits; eating odd things at odd times, and travel, which impedes both getting a full, heart-pumping cardio/strength-resistance exercise as well as the added obligation to have a social life centered around restaurant culture.
I'm really curious how to balance odd schedule, as well as a very social life, with eating well and getting proper exercise. I think we all know how bad restaurant food is, and I can't always be the one to say "Actually, can we just do Pho and tea over dinner?" or "Hey, don't mind me I'm just going to eat almonds and carrot sticks in your class." Also, how to you approach places like cafeterias or restaurants that don't have their numbers posted, or where food cannot be weighed?
This is also an aside question and somewhat off-topic, but tagging along with the poor college student question, but what are some suggestions for a good, rounded regimen when you can't afford a gym? Until this point, I've relied upon classes through my school (Step Aerobics, Weight Training, my brief and failed attempt with Swimming--I'm afraid of deep water), but between being only a one-income household and trying to start a business, we don't have money in the budget to pay gym fees or for at-home equipment/weights. Are there any suggestions?

Cafeterias and restaurants can be hard, even when they do post their info if they don't stick to their serving sizes it can be wayyyyyy off. I would just say if you have the option of controlling what goes into your food then do, if you can choose a salad bar and select your own ingredients I would do that. You can also ask them to make simpler sandwiches or put condiments on the side and things like that to help you out. Unfortunately I am not sure what else you can do. If you and your friends or roomates like to cook you can always have a fun night in, take turns cooking and watch your favorite tv show. Or I highly reccomend dutch blitz (its a card game and my roomates and I all loved it in college)
As for exercise, there are alot of well known routines on youtube. I think you can find the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred on there. I saw someone post links to you are your own gym too, so try looking for that (that takes no extra equipment). For cardio there is always walking and running outside.0
