Take longer than you thought for problem areas to fade?

I am just curious.
Did you end up having to be further along your weight loss journey then you originally planned to finally tap into some of those pesky areas? I, like many females, hold poundage in the thighs and booty. They have come a long way since I have increased and changed the type of strength training I do. In my head I see my self being exactly where I want in about 7lbs or so and I would love to hear about other peoples experiences!

I am 5'0ft, 112lb btw.

OH yes! My original goal was just to get back into the clothes that were getting too tight. That was 21 pounds ago  . I am almost where I want to be, but there's still a bit of butt cheek and thigh that needs work. Now I need new clothes for the opposite reason!:drinker:

Yay for new smaller clothes! You are funny, "butt cheek and thigh". I love how we all talk on this website, its hilarious! So you ended up going 21lbs to get back in your clothes, even though you thought it wouldn't be that much? Did you used to weight more in your old clothes size?

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I'm 5'9", so getting down to my original goal of 150 fixed the issue of splitting seams in my size 12s. But this method worked for the first 13 pounds, so I kept dropping my goal. I'm into some 8s now, a number I've NEVER seen. Heck, I wore size 13 Juniors (long, long ago). I'm a bit too boney on top now, though I'm doing some strength training for that. My maintenance weight may be higher than where I am now, but I want to try for better balance.

It's mostly genetics. My friend loses first in her breasts & ankles, but I lost 25 lbs. and still wear the same bra size.

Lucky girl.....Mine are almost gone already, ha ha :) My ex's nickname for me was "banana boob". I'm sure he meant that in a loving way...

Ugh...everythign for me is taking longer than I would've wanted! 5 months, have lost 10 pounds :( 10 more to go...but yes, I started noticing a big change in my arms, they look the best they've ever looked. My thighs on the front are looking pretty good. However, stomach and thighs on the back are still terrible. My jeans are all baggy, shirts are fitting way better, but my waist has barely decreased in inches.
And yes, pretty sure it has a lot to do with body type. I'm very curvy so, haven't lost anything in breasts/butt!
