Can your body still build muscle if you up your protein but are not working out?

If you're particularly active and using your muscles, sure. Think farming or lifting boxes in a warehouse or some other physically demanding job/activity. It doesn't necessarily have to be "working out." Otherwise, no.0

You need to work your body to gain muscle. Protein feeds the muscle and helps them build, however, if you just eat protein and it sits in your body unused, it will turn to fat. That's if there is too much there. But, eating enough protein for your lifestyle will help you keep the muscle you have while dieting.0
