Favourite gym routine?

Hey folks,
I'm looking for some advice, when gyming I've mostly stuck to rowing, elliptical, bike and treadmill (all things cardio based) but am trying to incorporate more strength training so kettle bells and dumbells and weight machines...

I'm here asking you to tell me what your gym routine normally comprises of and whats the best way to do weight training? Im looking for how to get the best out of my workouts!

Thank you all for sharing your wisdom

Get a good, basic beginner program like All Pro or Starting Strength. If you want so,etching more with machines, I think Jamie Eason's LiveFit or New rules of Lifting use machines. Bodybuilding.com also has programs.

If you want the more bang for your buck, revolve your routine around compound lifts and exercises that incorporate many muscles, with either the barbell, dumbbell and bodyweight:

    Squats
    Deadlifts
    Bench Press
    OHP
    Pull Up
    Chin up
    Dips
    etc......
