Staying on TRACK is one of my biggest challenges.... how do you stay on track over the weekend?

I actually find it easier. I eat out of boredom at work, and on the weekends I sleep in and do stuff, so eating isn't always first and foremost. Get outside and go do something!0

I stay loosely on track during the weekends... I still log on here and remain mindful of my goals but its difficult to stay disciplined 7 days a week... Socialising and meeting friends at the weekends tends to revolve around food.
I'm sure there are members stronger than me who will share their methods for sustaining willpower :happy:0 -
By not treating the weekends as a free for all. I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner or brunch and I keep an eye on what I'm eating.
The fact that I don't often drink large amounts does make it a heck of a lot easier, though!0 -
Experience over the last 14 months has taught me that I lose weight when I log my food, the good, the bad and the ugly. And I want to keep losing weight, even on weekends, so I log my food, even on weekends.
Think of logging and staying on track as a daily habit, like brushing your teeth, bathing/showering, combing/fixing hair, etc. You don't stop doing that stuff just because its the weekend, do you? Treat logging and paying attention to your food the same way. Like a daily healthy habit.0 -
I work out Mon-Fri so my weekends are usually workout free, aside from walks and stuff. I find it easier to keep busy with my projects on the week-ends. At work, it sucks more because there is always something to nibble on or co-workers have junk they share on their desks! I find that harder to ignore than the healthy food I usually have available at home. I think keeping busy is the key, but I also allow myself a bit of leeway on the weekend to cheat a hair!0

Take a deep breath, relax, and don't be hard on yourself. I am allowing myself one meal per week where I don't go hog-wild but enjoy myself. I say to myself,"How much would a skinny person eat? When would they get full?" I actually feel that that helps keep me on track the rest of the time. Now that the weather is getting better find different outdoor activities to do that don't involve food. It really is all about changing your focus from "How much food can I eat?" to "How do I fit my new perspective in this new life?"0

Have a long lie. Haha I'm not up yet but I'll probably have a roll on bacon and egg when I do and it'll count as lunch I've only had a cup of tea.0

Yes ^^this^^. Fitness and health has become a DAILY habit.0 -
The same as any other day. If something comes up where we decide to eat out, I figure I have to factor it in. Some people eat a bit less throughout the week to balance their weekends. Whatever works for you. It's not the end of the world if you go over a bit.0

I work out 5-6 days per week but I have a sedentary job so I'm typically more active on the weekends. Since I'm moving more I relax my food choices a bit as well. I don't go crazy but I typically have a few beers or mixed drinks (which I log) and don't freak out if I go over my calorie goal for the day. I try to keep in mind that my calories are set at about a 400 calorie deficit so there is a bit of wiggle room between losing and maintaining.
We've gotten in the habit of going out for lunch on Sunday and most of the time we end up at Hooters. My lunch usually consists of boneless wings and 2 Blue Moon beers but I simply watch my intake for the rest of the day.0 -
Thanks for all suggestions peeps..... it's always good to hear how others work their week out on exercise vs. calories. Thankfully we have a relaxed weekend this weekend so food choices and beverage choices have been easier.
I know with the weather getting warmer this is going to become a non-issue. I've had the typical winter of comfort food (and beverages) so I really want to shed this "Winter 10 lbs." - just gotta stay focused. As long as I stay on point most of the time...splurges are a nice reward. :flowerforyou:0
