Is there something wrong with my body?

Hi sorry this is going to be really long.
I started hard-core dieting since last year's November. I suffer from an iron deficiency the last time I measured(December), 11.7. I skip meals sometimes but there are other times when I binge, especially when I'm eating out with friends. I even puked once due to overeating(it wasn't on purpose, my body just couldn't take all that food). I started binging less and less since then and I hardly do it anymore. I don't purge. I would start off a day with eggs/wholemeal sandwiches for both breakfast and lunch, and even skip a meal altogether, but eat normally during dinner (meat and veggies). Most of the time, I wouldn't touch anything made out of enriched flour and I don't eat fruits because of the sugars and carbs in them. I lost weight since then (from around 117 pounds to 99 pounds). My height is 5'2''. Ohh and my period stopped for near 4 months, and this is really worrying me. This Wednesday, I took a dulcolax laxative pill because I was constipated.(my first time taking it). It worked but I stopped taking it (I was afraid of the side effects laxative pills may have). I started worrying about the health problems that could occur due to my unhealthy eating habits and started eating normally these two days. I ate lots of fiber (apple, carrot, and banana) and yogurt for both yesterday and today to solve my constipation problem. I finally managed to have a bowel movement today but (sorry if it's really disgusting) I took a really long time, the poop wasn't a lot, and came out brown and was really sticky(like it stuck on to the toilet paper like glue). The following questions are bothering me.
I'm quite happy with my weight now and don't think I'm fat, even though I still stay away from white rice/fried food/calorie-laden food. Am I considered anorexic? (Since I skip meals sometimes) But the conditions that I have (loss of period, constipation) are all signs of anorexia. Or can it be because of stress? (I'm rather stressed recently too)
Will my period return if I continue eating normally?
Why am I constipated, even though I eat so much fiber and drink a lot of water?
Is it normal for my poop to be so sticky?
Should I go see a doctor?

Yes, see a doctor.
You are underweight and exhibit anorexic behaviors.
Only a doctor can diagnose you.0 -
seek a professional.0

Let's see ... underweight by BMI, unhealthy relationship with food, skipping meals, body having negative reactions to your behaviors ....
time to see a professional.0 -
Skipping meals doesn't make someone anorexic.
But combined with all the other details in your post...yeah, I don't know...it doesn't sound like you have a particularly healthy relationship with food....
Good luck!0 -

I believe your numbers put you just barely on the underweight side. But BMI can be misleading.
As yourself seems to believe and others are indicating, you appear to exhibit anorexic conditions. Seeking medical help with this should be on your list of things to consider. Or, you could just ignore it and keep doing what you're doing. But if something about your body doesn't seem right, that's probably not a good idea. Your body shouldn't need laxatives on a regular basis to operate.
People are going to want you to gain weight, but you'll likely resent that since you say you like your weight. Is it your weight, an arbitrary number that you like, or is it your size? Because the two are different. Maybe consider gaining weight while doing strength and yoga training to keep your size and strengthen your muscles.
I wish you luck in your endeavors, no matter which path you choose, its your choice, and your result. God bless.0 -
I don't know. I'm not a professional in this subject. ...But there are indeed some warning signs in the things you describe, and it sounds like YOU think you might have a problem. I think you should talk to your doctor.
You may be unhealthily thin at this point...again hard to tell from here...
Just for the sake of discussion how much do you eat? (Maybe open your diary to public view?)
Do you exercise and if so what kind?0 -
Seek Help, (a Doctor), open your diary, report back to us. You have symptoms that should not be ignored, no one on MFP can give you the help you need. WE CAN encourage, provide information etc, but you have to take care of you!0

This is pretty perfect, once I read an article that somebody had posted on here about her journey through that lesson. She posted a picture of herself at 100lbs or something, and again years later at 125 or something. She looked better at the heavier weight than the thinner weight, honestly. The very same size, but just so much more vibrant. Pretty interesting stuff.0
