Hi everybody.
I've been using the MFP app for a while but I've never bothered to post anything in the forums. My news feed looks fairly empty besides me and that's depressing because other people are helpful to motivate me into doing things.
About six months ago I started dating a new guy who has helped me out a lot with some bad social anxiety, sleep and depression issues. He also encouraged me to start eating more often because I was only eating once or twice a day and slamming the pop a lot more than I should be. I am still guilty of drinking soda and eating crappy things once in a while but much less than I was before.
I am now living with him in the city of Rochester and because things are more close together I am more inclined to walk places. This combined with better diet I started me on a small weight loss and then I decided to plow through with it because I finally had motivation to do so.
As many of you have heard about the snowpocalypse or whatever, the weather was terrible. My boyfriend has fibromyalgia so until the weather is better he is hard to get out of his mancave to go out on walks with me. It is /almost/ warm enough; maybe 2-4 more weeks. He is very bike friendly and I have two bicycles sitting at my parents waiting for me when the snow is officially gone.
As I am currently unemployed I have nothing better to be doing than job searching; cleaning my house/finishing moving and exercising. If time is my one commodity right now I will utilize it!
Also somewhat motivating is Summer Glau. I realize that might be terrible but we have discovered my chest and height are the same as hers. Not sure about waist but my hips are only two inches larger. We've also noticed in my weight loss I may have the genetics for the thigh gap everyone is always excited for without the starving myself. I am still 150 lbs and looking to lose somewhere between another 20-30. BMI indicates that I can go to about 115 but in conscious memory I have always been 160 so in my head that sounds too skinny. We will see when I get there but for now I am looking to only hit 140 as for about 6 months I just stopped eating in an attempt to lose weight. 140 was where I stalled for quite a while and then when I started again I ballooned to 170. Now that I am losing slowly but surely I am seeing if I can get below that and back into my size 8 jeans from that time.
