I have the polar loop with the soft strap and ft7 transmitter. I sometimes use my watch polar ft4 for different things but the problem I have had lately is I will wet the strap on and it will work for a short time then I get the message check heart transmitter. I did get a new strap and think this was not the problem but not still get the same message. Just had the battery changed about a month ago. I am at a lost on what to do can anyone help.

This may be a stupid question, but have you tried tightening the strap? Mine did that a few times, but stopped when I tightened up the strap.0

I have the same problem and after searching solutions (wash strap, tighten, change battery), I still get the error message. It seems hit or miss with my polar 7.... Frustrating but great when it works.0

I'm also having the same issue but also sometimes it will jump up and say my heart rate is like way over 200 and I know that's not right. I have been messing around with the tightness of the strap but I really don't like the clip part because that seems to not have a lot of strength and my theory is that the band is twisting which messes up the readings.0
