I had the most horrid weekend (eating wise)
I had chinese food, chips ahoy and 12 0 calorie energy drinks.
Its been badddd!
I also had not smoked for 20 days and I did last night
Has anyone else ever had a HORRIBLE weekend not just one day but a whole weekend and it didint do anything to there weight loss. I am going home later today and I just know I am going to be beating myself up! But I will not let this stop me..

Draw a line, learn from it and eat better today. No point fretting over it, you'll only have another bad day! Unless you're in Australia / New Zealand, the weekend isn't over. Make any choices left healthy ones and try and get out for a walk - will be good for you psychologically.0

I live on an island where there is no mainstream fast food outlets like KFC so this weekend I've been away and eating it all!!!! It's only one weekend out of a whole lifetime of change and I know when I go home I'll be back to watching what I eat so I'm not worried. It's not a habit.0

Don't be so hard on yourself. Your weekend doesn't sound that horrid to me! The 0 cal energy drinks are probably not good for your body but shouldn't effect your weight loss. Focus on the fact that you went TWENTY DAYS!!! without smoking- that is amazing. Hop back on the wagon and keep going.
I have had bad weekends/weeks. It didn't cause me to gain weight. Maybe slowed my weight loss down for the following week if it's a LOT over my calorie goals but that's no big deal. Once I get back on track it starts coming off again. Just keep logging all your food and exercising when you can.0 -
I am learning from my issues with food (BED/EDNOS) that beating yourself up doesn't work, it doesn't work for me, it just made me feel worse which just made the binges continue to happen. (feel bad, eat, eat, feel bad) endless cycle. I've had many weekends where it was a 2-3 day endless binge. So I get you on that one.
I've been on a streak lately of no binges, I binged MORE last month, LESS this month. I am proud of that.
Just get back on the horse and go about your plan again today.

I am feeling the same, op.....I'm very OCD and I like to lose at least 2 pounds a week but with the way I've been eating I feel like that's out the window for the week, unless I squeeze in like double workouts somehow lol.
Everyone is right though....no sense beating yourself up over it. We cannot be perfect. We will have days, or even weekends ( ;-) ) where we make mistakes, but it's actually ok.......these mistakes help you to appreciate the value of the good things you are doing, too!
The most important thing is you get up and keep moving forward.....this is the turtle's race :-)))0 -
Get back on the horse, both the no smoking and the eating well. There's no sense beating yourself up, you can't un-do it but you can do better. Everything in moderation (if you can handle moderation). Personally I can't have just one cigarette so cigarettes are completely OUT. I can have a serving of potato chips or a serving of cookies and walk away. I know some people that have one potato chip and eat the entire family sized bag so for them, the one serving is not an option.0

I know what it's like: I've had bad weekends, bad weeks, bad MONTHS! It happens to everyone and it's ok to fail and to feel bad about ourselves. What you have to do now is learn from it. On anyone's journey failure is the best way to learn. Once you 've failed you gotta recognize what you will do better when the same situation next time. Like what will you do when you feel like smoking, will you say yes or no? You're growing and becoming a better person every day and face everything as an opportunity to learn. Feel blessed and thankful for every single day you've been given to do better.

oh yes i have had some really bad food weeks. but i keep logging. i admit them. sometimes on the newsfeed.. sometimes just on my food diary. oh yeah thanks you just reminded me i left one thing off last night. lol.
last night i had more then i should. i could have walked away.. my diary was probably already off because you never know how many calories you really get at a restaurant.. and i just needed to fill a void. i filled it.. but not the way i wanted to. i ended up feeling icky all night as well as self loathing. but i give myself credit i have wanted to do that all week and at least i made it that long.
i weigh everyday because i developed that bad habit early on.. and lets just say.. im up 5 pounds! in one day. really. its so disappointing. even more so since i know i still have a few days ahead that are gonna suck as much as all week did. i have to stay strong. this means alot to me and i cant let other things control it.
but im not happy. but food wont make me happy. as seen last night.. it will make me feel worse.
so anyways accept that it happened and start fresh the next day. just try to be better then the day before and you will already be making progress.0 -

Yes I am not letting the weekend mess up any progress i plan on making
I went out did groceries , and only got stuff that is healthy. My biggest problem is still the fact that me and my family bonddd over food lol.. So I just need to have more self control!! which I will practice. I love the way i feel when i eat right and do not smoke. the weekend made me feel like ****.. so excited to get a new day going. and prove to myself i can do it.

My indulgences usually happen all in a row but like one per day so I don't feel too bad about it, until I notice my weight loss slowing dramatically from too many of these...and then I rein myself in a bit. For me the worst was at Christmas. I really & truly felt like I was making a big improvement from past years' holiday eating...but I still went way over on my calories and ate like 9-10 pieces of peanut butter fudge my mom made.
Basically you just have to get over it and move on with things! It is not the end of the world, I promise you. The only way it is truly BAD is if it causes you to abandon the healthier eating and calorie counting completely. Stay on track and you will redeem yourself quickly!!0
