How to remember lose v. loose

Think about it this way:

When you lose weight you are getting rid of something. GET RID OF THE SECOND O. When your pants becomes loose they have extra space. EXTRA SPACE TO ADD A SECOND O.

(I wrote this is the middle of another thread and someone said it was a really helpful way to remember the difference. And since this mistake featured so prominently in the "pet peeves" thread I figured re-posting couldn't hurt.)

You're doing a vital public service by spreading your knowledge. Thank you. People over there will be happy about their new knowledge, and they're going to thank you. I hope giving your knowledge to people reaches more than two people, i bet you feel the same way, too.

Huh, actually that is a really good way to remember if grammar isn't your strong suit. Good job :flowerforyou:
