Joining a Group/Board

I feel really stupid. I am not sure how to join a group or board. I see that I can reply to people, but do not see a join button or new topic button. There are boards/groups I would like to join. Please Help!!!!

If you go to "community" and then to "groups" then you can either browse groups or search for groups. Then you click the group name and the first thing you should see is "join group". It's above the discussion boards.
