Calculate a good goal weight

What's up? I'm pretty new to this site, weight gain, and strength training. As a skinny guy (53.5kg and 5ft 4) it's kind for embarrassing to go to the gym full or all those hench people haha, but I want to gain weight and use my dumbbells at home first, how do I know the weight I should be working towards (so I don't look too bad at the gym). I want to put my goal weight but I have no idea the weight that I won't be scrawny at!! I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one with this problem, how do you actually know what to work towards?
Sorry for the long post haha, I hope someone can help me please!

Aim for 5_10 pounds at a time. Then maintain that weight until your abs are defined. Then add another 10 lbs. As far as the gym goes. You shouldn't worry about what weight to start at. Just go. Lot of good advice to be had from others there. Most gym junkies started either too heavy or too slim.0
