My story is that my whole i have been a BIG GIRL i lost alot of weight in high school as time went by i gained it all back, people tell me "u r not that big" and that "i hold my weight well". My highest weight was 250lbs went down to 130lbs and i am at about 190 right now! I want to go back down to about 160 give or take....Cause 130 was really small for me since i have very big bones and it looked like i was anorexic....
I can't afford the gym too expensive so i made a very mini gym at home and i train 3-4 times a week very minimal training but i do sometimes break a sweat not often but sometimes and exercise i try to get as much as i possibly can..I am getting a stationary bike in the next 2-3 weeks
It just feels like such a long road ahead......I am so tired when i get home from work i just don't feel like it, but i find some way to force myself to do some training but it is half assed...How can i keep motivated? My finacé is amazing he helps but this is my challenge!!!!
I don't like what i see in the mirror anymore that is motivation but just enough to keep from gaining weight...I haven't gained any weight in about 3 years i have been at the same weight as per my doctor give or take a pound or two...she is not concerned for my weight but i am....
What can i do to be a bit more motivated any suggestions?

When I work out, I always look in the mirror. Most recently. I've been seeing the skinny, fit girl I want to become. Visualizing a healthier you always makes me feel better. Try Bikram Yoga - it kicks my butt and I feel great afterwards0

Maybe set some mini goals for yourself. Small things like 5lbs get a pedicure or something like that. It might be enough to help push past the funk. I had a really hard time at first cause I have always been a big girl and never had any interest in working out at all, now I get grumpy if I don't get to go for my jog, it has just become a part of my everyday. GOOD LUCK!!!!! You can do it!!0

The fact of the matter is, you just have to invest in yourself. Nobody else will. You are worth the extra dollars AND the time. I work 7 days a week and am STILL broke most of the time. I have student loan debt...lots of it...and I'm crawling out of that hole very slowly. My husband and I talked about working out and getting a gym membership months and months ago but we just couldn't afford it. One day I had enough, I would just have to make the sacrifice and trust that the rest of my needs would be met. We decided at that point to invest in our health and haven't looked back. We aren't homeless yet...but we ARE getting thinner!

I was at about 185 and now I'm at 160. I still have some weight to lose before I reach my goal, but most of that 25lbs was lost by logging my food. I did work out some, but it was minimal. I started my fitness pal in Feb and I was at 160lbs by July or Aug. I lost 1-2lbs a week, which I've heard is the best way to do it. I just logged my food like crazy and I tried to work off any extra calories on my bike. I watched tv or read a book while I rode, so (needless to say) I wasn't peddling my hardest. I would just ride until I worked off the extra calories that I had eaten. That's certainly not the way you're supposed to do it, but it worked for me. Now that I'm at 160, I'm having a harder time losing. I need to start taking the work outs more seriously to get to my goal. But, that first 20 or 25lbs was lost due to my food choices. It's AMAZING how much I used to eat! Now I couldn't eat that much if I tried. It's really a life style change.
So...I guess my "advice" would be to make good choices and be patient. It doesn't seem like a lot, but 1 or 2lbs adds up quick! If these changes impact you the way they impacted me, you could be at your goal weight before you know it!! :-)

Thanks Soulfire, that is exactly my situation...I am fit, i used to go to the gym like it was church when i was younger but now i can't afford it so i bought some goodies for home and i do it there.....
I know what is good for me to eat and what isn't i guess i have to be patient...as u said, it is just a pain u know...easy to gain hard to take off...Should be other way around we would be alot happier no?? LOL....
we will start will calories intake and some exercise and see how it goes and change it up if it doesn't change..I guess we have to see what works for each and every one of us right?
thanks everyone0 -
