Hi everyone...my name is Robin. My D.I.L. started a fitness challange and here I am. I'm so excited to begin this journey yet frightened at the same time.
All my life I've had problems gaining weight..now at the age of 45..I find myself at 200 lbs( 5'8") and wonder where the heck did that come from?! After six kids, .. and other 'life" stuff..and quitting smoking etc..I guess I really can see how it happened. Now it's time for me!!! I must admit, I am a repeat offender..I've been on diets before (and gym membership) and I've failed more than once..or twice...or...and frankly I'm just tired of it. I need someone(s) to hold me accountable..and keep me motivated. My mother is severely obese with diabetes. She was in ICU a year ago for blood clots is her lungs. She is pretty much immobile and has a caretaker 5 days a week. The doctors tell her to lose the weight but, I know it's easier said then done. I do NOT want to become like that. I also have five(one on the way) grandchildren that mean the world to me and I want to be an active part of their lives. so, anywho..that's my story. I've read several posts here today and I must admit I am/was moved by the majority of them. I hope I can continue and post my success story with you all in the future. thanks for reading..take care~
