Lately (the past couple months) I have noticed I will go all day long with hardly any water. At the most i will have 2 bottles. I generally don't drink a lot of anything, but I noticed the lack of water a week or so ago.
I'm trying to do better, but I have noticed my muscles have been sore the past couple weeks and I havent fit in a work out routine to my weight loss plan yet, so I know its not because of that. Just wondering if the lack of water could have caught up with me and thats why my muscles (in my back and sides mostly) are sore from time to time?

If it's mostly in your lower back and sides, what you might be feeling is the start of a kidney infection. Drink more. Go to the doctor if it doesn't go away or if your pee is cloudy.

Unfortunately, I do not have an answer to your question. I just wanted to suggest that you set reminders to get your water. I set a task on my email (I work at a desk) to pop up every hour simply saying "H2O). As you get older, when you feel thirsty, it is already too late and you are dehydrated. (I read that on some medical website).

I don't know how big your bottles are but you seriously need to start drinking more water. I'm assuming you must eat a lot of fresh fruits and veggies and are getting the majority of your hydration that way. How your urine looking? if it's pale yellow you're probably ok but if it's getting dark (amber colored) and smelly you're super dehydrated.

Muscle cramps are definitely a symptom of dehydration. Not to freak you out but I can't help but wonder if the pain in your back is actually your kidneys... Have you noticed other symptoms?

I do try to eat LOTS of salads with lots of veggies. The area my back hurts is actually in my mid back area, not by my kidneys. I know you can have displaced pain sometimes, but I havent noticed any other symptoms, and the muscle soreness on my sides is along the sides of my torso, from under my arms down to my waist. Its very strange. I wouldnt say its painful, just annoying.
Bottle of water for me is 16 oz, so technically I'm only drinking 2-5 glasses a day, 5 on a good day when I stop to think about getting more water. Today though, I'm already at 4, going for 8. :)

    This is a good idea!
