I've never tried that before I heard its good though! thanks0

I use a satay sauce for chicken and rice that just has peanut butter, chicken stock and chilli powder - it keeps me full for ages0

Protein and fat are your friends.
Hummus, cottage cheese, peanut/almond butter, nuts in general, etc.0 -
I know you asked for food ideas but I drink water before eat meal and don't feel hungry. When I want snacks, popcorn and pretzels work for me.0

Look and see if what you are eating is not balanced as far as macros (make sure you are getting protein/carbs/fat in each meal).
Breakfast: eggs & toast & butter, or greek yogurt, string cheese and fruit
Lunch: pita wrap, grilled chicken, raw veggies
Dinner: Meat, side dish like rice or potatoes, and a veggie or salad0 -
Depends, what are your goals? How many calories do you have to spare?
I find that my morning oatmeal and protein shake keeps me more than satisfied until lunch, where I try to get in more protein to hold me over until my afternoon snack, where I consume even more protein that keeps me full until dinner. In other words, protein!0 -
Roasted chickpeas.
Mmmm.0 -
Greek yogurt. Cottage cheese is also really good... especially with fresh fruit or preserves. Yum!0

Nuts ...
and my favorite of all EGGS :-D0 -
I second that chickpeas are very filling, also when hungry a snack of roasted sunflower seeds and nuts--no salt, or greek yougurt with a little jam does the trick.0

This. Eating carbs makes me want to eat more carbs. Eating protein & fat makes me feel full.0 -

Most people say they find protein most satiating. While I would agree that protein is more filling than carbs, I am never satiated without fat. Fat is high calorie, but without it I am not sated.0

I like lean protein, egg substitute, cheese sticks and vegetables. One thing that can be great is buying the microwavable bags of veg and have that with some protein for lunch. Very satisfying.0

A breakfast that sticks with me for a long time is a fried egg. I mix diced canned tomatoes wit a can of rinsed black beans and add salt, pepper and a little taco seasoning. Top the eggs with the tomato and beans. It tastes better than it sounds like it would.0

But yes seriously, protein!0 -
Protein, fat and vegetables are really filling for me. Whether it's a salad with full fat dressing and 4-6 oz of chicken, or steak with veggies cooked in butter (like the artichoke last night) or eggs, sausage and cheese with a half a grapefruit for breakfast.
When I eat more carbs, I just seem to want to eat more of them -- even when I'm full. So I restrict them for the most part and focus on protein, fat and non-starchy vegetables (for most of my carbs).0 -

I've found beans and avocado or beans and a little fatty meat like bacon make a really filling combo for not many calories.0

I get drained tuna pouches or cans, they are only 70 calories but they are 18 grams of protein which fills you up. I alternate with Swanson's white chick breast in a can because you're not supposed to have tuna all of the time.
Basically anything with a lot of protein in it is what will keep you full. Or fiber.
Oh, my new favorite things are by Green Giant. They are in my diary.. they're called Just For One and they have cheesy rice with broccoli and it's only 60 calories for the whole tray! They're great for snacking. They also have cheesy cauliflower and cheesy broccoli plain.0 -
Along with getting plenty of protein (lean meat, dairy, beans/legumes, eggs) and healthy fat, consider the quality of your food. I'm not clean eater but the more I pay attention to the food I eat and how it affects me, the more I realize that super processed stuff just doesn't stick with me as long as natural sources (protein bar vs eggs, instant oatmeal vs homecooked steel cut oats). Something to consider.0

Ditto that0 -
Sargento string cheese is my go-to snack. It's only 50 calorie per stick, and it's really easy to store in my purse. I have one around 4:00 at the office, it staves off the in-between lunch and dinner munchies and keeps my mind on my work.0

Fish and seafood are low on calories and packed with protein which means you'll feel fuller for longer0

Okay, I just had time for a quick reply last time.
Some of my recent snacks include:
- String cheese with an apple or clementine
- Hard-boiled egg and apple, with or without almond butter
- Cheese and crackers (nut thins), maybe with fruit
- Cottage cheese with 1/2 banana and peanut butter
- Veggies with ranch or hummus and some baked chicken breast
- Greek yogurt with oats or granola, walnuts, strawberries
Love me some healthy fats!0 -
Apple and peanut butter, or like DrJenO, apple and string cheese. I also love yogurt with cheerios and walnuts.0

^ THIS. I can make a frittata with half a green pepper, a small diced onion, a little celery, and 3 large eggs - total calories under 300 - and with a salad and maybe a slice of dry toast, I feel full the rest of the evening.0 -
Nice like that idea thanks!0
