Am I sedentary or lightlly active?

I have estimated that I sleep/lie down for 420 minutes a day, sit for 710 minutes a day, and stand/move about for 310 minutes a day. How much sitting is counted as sedentary? Is there an appropriate way to tell?

I read a suggestion to wear a pedometer for a day to see how many steps I take. But MFP doesnt say how many steps is lightly active. Anyone know?

I'd go with Sedentary, it's always best to be conservative anyway.

Sedentary is a good place to start. If you really want to be accurate as a starting point (well as accurate as you can be without expensive medical tests) then something like a Fitbit that measures you 24/7 works well

I'd go with sedentary, and be sure to track all the stuff you do that is non-normal.
If you go out for a multiple hour long shopping trip, odds are that you are going to be more active than your normal work day.
If you spend an hour working in the yard (And normally don't) it is more activity than sitting at a desk.

I stay on sedentary because some days (Like yesterday) I mostly sit, computer/tv, drive 600 miles, etc. and only burn 2100 cals.
Other days I walk 8 miles, and hit the gym to lift weights, burning over 3000.
I aim at 2100, and then track (and eat back) if I do more.
