Can't seem to stick to diet on the weekend---Need Help!

Monday through Friday afternoon I find myself being super disciplined with my diet, but once Friday night hits, it’s a whole different story. I generally go out to eat or for drinks on the weekend with friends, and always end up eating way too much crap. I almost feel like I have to forfeit having any type of social life in order to reach my weight loss goal. Does anyone else have this same issue?? Any suggestions??

Plan as much as you can. There are people who have "cheat" days for this purpose. Save up some of your weekday calories to splurge at bit on the weekend.

If at all possible, look at the restaurant's website & have an idea on what you will order.

Before I go to a restaurant I look it up online and check the stats. I always decide what I'm going to have before I leave and then I do NOT look at the menu when I arrive.

I have the same problem on the weekends but I've found that exercising more on the weekends helps me. I try to burn an extra 500 calories on Saturday and on Sunday.

I also only weigh myself on Friday morning, that way I have 4 days to make up for any poor decisions I may have made over the weekend.

Do you exercise? Do you eat back your exercise calories (adjusted for estimation error) back as intended using the MFP method? I know that made things far more bearable than if I was just eating to MFP's non exercise calorie goal.

I agree. Make killer cardio workouts your weekend goal. I put in 1000+ calorie workouts on the weekend for sure because they take a little time and they make Saturday night bearable. It's all about managing your net calories.

PS: Alcohol is going to convince you that you are thin and those nachos are calorie-free.
