Sexy Abs

OK now i have your attention can anyone give me some tips on shifting my abdominal fat. I am currently doing the Insanity workout and this is something i have done before but only the first month due to it being really heavy on my lower back (my job is very physical and i cant afford to have back pain at work). I ,like most people, have substituted some of the exercises in the circuits for those less stressful on the lumber. Anyway I stick to the schedule and I am in my 3rd week and sometimes add the cardio abs workout onto the others for a little extra. I am trying to lean out my physique and get some nice abdominal definition as the ladies have in the videos. I am 5' 6" and currently approx 73kg (recent profile photo and don't own scales!).
Just looking for advice on achieving my goal. I enjoy the Insanity workouts especially as now I am ALMOST able to keep up with those in videos. I have toned up in general as you would imagine on the Insanity however would like advice on shifting the layer of abdominal fat. My build appears to have deep set abs, unlike many of my friends who don't workout at all but have very forward set abdominal muscles that are even visible through their fat stores!
I follow myfitnesspal calorie intake and workout regime and meet my 1250 cals a day target with low fat and sugar intake. Any advice welcome.
Peace

abs are made in the kitchen...doesn't matter how many situps, crunches or planks you do if you have bodyfat covering them they wont ever show...to lose fat you need to be in a deficet.0 -
Thanks guys, as i mentioned before i don't think my body type makes it easy for me to display my abs so to speak as i have friends who have a way higher body fat % but very prominent abs even from under some fat! Guess i have to work twice as hard to achieve my goal :grumble:0
