I feel as if I can't ever get enough breath in when I am walking fast and jogging on the treadmill. My nose feels as if it is closing up and I end up breathing through my mouth and it gets very dry even with gum. I can usually inhale ok but find myself with short expiration and kinda start into a hyper ventialating state. Anyone else exp this and have any ideas for improvement or change? I feel like I could run further if I could actually learn to breathe correctly.

I would consult a Dr about that ....0

Have you been evaluated for EIA (Exercise Induced Asthma)?0

If when you breath deep, it feels like your lungs are tearing away from the inside of you, ( I know GREAT description) you may just be dehydrated. When I ran track this happened to me and the doc said that I wasn't drinking enough and that the mucus wall surrounding my lungs had dried out.
Try drinking more and then if still bad, talk to the doc!0
