Can you do squats 6 days a week if you don't go over 20 lbs?

Spine problems limit weight trainng to 20 lbs (doctor's orders). also, will it even do any good at this weight?

All movement is good. Will it build new muscle? Probably not. But, you are moving your body and that is great. I don't think there would be a problem with doing that almost everyday. Just remember that rest is important.0

Thank you, mamasmaltz3
I try to keep muscles contracted while exercising (hopefully toning, anyway), & you're right, it's movement

Ask the doc if you can do single leg squat variations. There's no load placed on the spine, but you increase the load on your legs and it would be far more beneficial than just doing them for the sake of burning calories.0
