Losing motivation

I have started really watching what I've eaten and have used MFP since the beginning of January and I'm still not seeing the results I want. Since the beginning of march, I really have watched what I eat and use a good scale and really try to eat healthy options. I will admit some days I eat not so good but I always try to make sure I exercise more and try to balance the calories. I run between 2-3 miles 6 days a week and I have been since the beginning of March. Some days I run and walk at a fast pace and some days I run and do a 10 mile bike ride. I feel like I'm doing everything right but am not seeing results. My friend gave me 20 days worth of Genesis Pure HealthTrim pills that I am taking and I lost 6 pounds the first two days but now I'm just slowly getting back up to where I all started back in January. I feel like I have a much healthier lifestyle and that in itself is a reward, but I am trying to lose 15lbs and get more toned and it just seems like I'm putting in so much effort without any results. Any advice?!

Do you use a food scale, how many calories are you eating (better yet can you open your diary)? Also, do you have medical conditions?

Also, if you want to be toned, that means you should be weight training. That combined with adequate protein (about 1g per lb of lean body mass) will help retain muscle. And lastly, drop the pills.. its either a diuretic or just caffeine.
  • I started out with 1200 calories a day and exercising and using all those calories. Then I posted on here and people were telling me to eat closer to 1800 a day since I was exercising more, but right now I'm trying for 1350 a day and my goal is to only use up around half of the calories I earn from exercise. I try to eat nuts after I run, but first I'm trying to lose fat before I look to be toned. I just wish I could either lose numbers on the scale or see muscle improvement.. I think I made my diary public!

You're not going to see results in such little time. You mentioned you started in January, then said March? Because one month makes a small difference, especially with so little to lose.
