Left foot problems can't exercise advice pls

I am to get my left amputated next year from knee down.it has really hurts when I walk for long or run/jogi tried the elliptical machiney last week and I have been in such pain since then.which exercises can I do that don't require the use of my legs?.kindly advise me

  • If you can't use your leg for anything, I imagine something like rowing would be a good workout. If you have insurance you may be able to get Physical Therapy as part of your recovery. I think a PT would have some great advice for working out with limbs removed.

    Have you tried any swimming? I find that if I put one of those wedge shaped things between my legs that you use to work on your upper body alignment, stroke, and breathing, I take my legs out of it but still get a great core and upper body workout.

    Pistol squats, swimming, but a lot depends on your prosthesis. See an exercise physiologist, but I've seen vets do just about everything post-amputation.
