Exercising doesn't help you lose weight, it helps you get healthier, fit, stronger, etc. Eating at a calorie deficit is the only requirement for weight loss.0

All are reasons why it is much more efficient to build your weight loss deficit into your diet rather than trying to exercise off the calories/fat. Diet for weight control; exercise for fitness. That's the beauty of MFP...your calorie goal includes that weight loss deficit without any exercise at all...so even if you didn't lift a finger in exercise you would lose weight eating to MFP's goal...further reason why you get calories to "eat back" when you do log exercise.0
