My son William, who is 18, wrote this on Facebook yesterday. It is incredibly inspirational for me to read, and I believe it will be for many other people. Of course, I can't tell you how proud I am. How amazed that I raised such a fine young man. Even if this just inspires one person, I will be happy. Thank you for reading. I am one proud Momma <3

~As everyone knows I've enlisted in the Marines. Anyway, my dream was set on that and to do that I would have to get down to 215. I would have to lose 40 pounds from my previous weight. I set that goal back in December and just 5 minutes ago I did indeed reach that goal by stepping on the scale. Me going to the gym everyday finally paid off. Just three months is all it took and if I could do that, you can too. You just have to believe in yourself and just do it. Hell what others say, YOU are the greatest thing to happen to you. I love everyone in my life and if that pops in your head and you're wondering if you are, then you are. God gave me this challenge and I did it. Thank you all.

That's the kind of attitude the Marines need! Congrats to him and to you!
