Super hungry after HIIT?

I'm doing the Fitness Blender 8 Week program for "busy people" (who isn't?) with all workouts coming in at about 30 minutes. This is the first time I've been exposed to HIIT, and I find on those days I am SUPER hungry even at my generous calorie allotment of 2100. Is this normal? Usually I come in at or slightly under my calorie goal with no real hunger pangs, so I'm wondering if the addition of HIIT workouts is the reason? Prior to this I did the Fitness Blender 4 Week low impact program, and before that it was workout DVDs and running (before it got too cold). I think my diary is only open to friends but I can tell you I definitely hit my fat macros every day and get between 70 and 100 grams of protein per day.
