calories/carbs/sugar

Can someone tell me how many carbs/sugars and calories I need a day to lose this horrible belly fat?? I am 59, 5'7" and 164 lbs. I do strength training a couple times a week and some cardio. I am confused as to which one is the most important to cut out of the diet. I am a returner to fitness pal.
