5 exercises - Which ones?

If you could only pick 5 exercises for the next 6 months, what would they be and why?

Examples:

Squats - sexy butt
wind sprints - endurance
zumba - it's fun

    bench, squat, deadlift.

All I really need, but lets throw in rowing (kayaking specifically) and jogging for cardio.

Assuming recreational activities not done intentionally for exercise but incidental to life (like walking the dog, hiking, biking, etc) don't count:

    Deadlift
    Squat
    Bench
    Overhead Press
    Running

There is only one reason: they make me more awesome.

I admit, I am still working on my 5 favorites. I know squats, deadlifts, and benching are going to be my top 3.

    Deadlift
    Squat
    Push-ups
    Running
Burpees (because I really suck at them and would make a lot of progress in 6 months)

Deadlifts, Bench, Squat, Pull-ups, Sprints. Bad shoulder leaves little room for OHP.

    Why? They're awesome.

    Hip thrust
    Squat
    Bench
    OHP
    DB croc rows

But I'd really miss the other exercises I normally do.

Squats, dead-lifts, overhead press, bench press, pull-up super sets w/dips.

why? because that's all you need really. if I wanted to work on endurance/stamina I would just do less rest and lower weight, more reps and basically keep it all moving like circuit training. I would miss my bike though.

I'm going to be the oddball and not include squats. I know they are so important but they really are my least favorite and since we're talking fantasy here ... I'll do what I want!

    So ....
    deadlifts
    chest press
    chin ups
    push ups
    running

Those are the things I enjoy the most and leave me feeling accomplished. Not a good overall program but like I said - this isn't for real anyway. :)

Pistol Squats (or other single leg squat variant)
    Dips
    Pull ups
    Push ups
    Running

For the record OP wind sprints =/= endurance

    squat
    deadlift
    bench
    row
    ohp

    honorable mention- chin-ups

As far as "liking" these, I hate them all but enjoy them at the same time if that makes sense!

I know. I was just trying to put something out there to get people thinking about why they choose their favorite exercises.

Well, I do change my routine from time to time but I've kept the following for the last 2 years:
    Squats
    Deadlifts
    Bench
    Bent over rows
    Shoulder press

For "cardio", various sports - tennis, kung fu, dodgeball.

Squat (cause I suck but are determined to get better)
    Deadlift (cause it's my favourite)
Bench Press (cause I'm getting preety good at them)
OHP (cause I like nice shoulders)
Chin ups (cause I can) but could be left out for rows (cause it's slowly getting heavy)

    deadlift
    bench
    OHP
    squat
    running

^Same here but would substitute the running for cycling.

running outside - cardiovascular health, burns cals (eat more!), clears the mind

pull ups - functional in life (what if you were hanging onto a ledge?!), works so many muscle groups, including core, fun to see strength progression

cardio dance class - fun as hell, where else can I shake my booty for an hour at 29 years old while stone-cold sober?

spinning - major calorie burn and you can really push yourself, the instructors are super motivating

    weighted squats - dat booty...

    Top 5:

running - because I am an endorphin junkie
deadlifts - strengthens my legs and glutes
pushups- strengthens my shoulders and chest
squats - good for the quads and glutes
dumbbell/kettle bell swings - good all around body workout.

    Honorable mention:

Lunges - good for legs and balance
pull ups- strong back and shoulders
    burpees - because they suck
