'Healthy weight' petite females who transformed their body

Are there any petite females who have transformed their body through lifting weights? I'm looking for some motivation. How did you do it? Diet? Workout routine? How long did it take?
I'm ~125lbs, 5"3 and looking to 'tone' up to no longer be 'skinny fat'. Would love to see some success stories and photos!

i'm 5'2, 120 lbs
i'm not heavy, but flabby in alot of spots, and read that lifting will definately transform!0 -
I'd say I qualify but unfortunately I don't have many pictures besides what's in my profile. I took "befores" but was short sighted and deleted them because I didn't like what I saw. I definitely regret that now!
For me it was not really about losing much weight, but changing what I saw in the mirror. I'm 5'5" and started at 122, ended up going down to as low as 110 (not healthy for me) and am now back up to 121ish. So although I'm roughly the same weight as when I started, I look much different, am smaller by inches and am a hell of a lot stronger than I've ever been! I love the changes that lifting as made for me physically and mentally.
For how I did it, I just started reading a ton and learning a lot and got my *kitten* over to the weight room. I started small but learned as I went, tried new things and just kept going. I've gone through lots of different phases and a few injuries but you just keep going. For most of the time I used my own routine but for a little bit I did PHUL which you can find on Muscle & Strength. There are so many great programs out there that I would say just find one that appeals to you and get started. As for how long it took - it's still going! But I would say I noticed changes within the first few months. It's constantly still going though and as you go along your focus can change or you gain new goals. The most important part is starting. Thanks for this. Sounds like you did/are doing pretty much what I'm doing now. Once I conquered my fear of the free weights room I'm always in there, usually the only female, and on one occasion the only person! Glad to see from your experiences that it works0 -
