Ugh, so I've been staying away from most greasy food, and decided to get pizza today b/c I didn't have time to pack this morning. One slice later (and a small ceasar salad) and now I feel SO SICK!! What is this??

Getting sick from one piece of pizza is a little extreme unless you're lactose intolerant or lactose sensitive. Could it be something else?

    ^^ This.

Or maybe you didn't eat enough pizza and your body is crying out for more.

Most adults are lactose intolerant. Nature doesn't figure on us consuming dairy into adulthood; we're the only species that does that. You likely are lactose intolerant.

Give it a rest, Tenspeed guy. You can not effectively state that someone is lactose intolerant or not, as you know NOTHING about the OP (aside from what she said about her mom) or her heritage. All she said is that she felt ill after having some greasy pizza.
Lactose intolerance in infancy resulting from congenital lactase deficiency is a rare disorder. Its incidence is unknown. This condition is most common in Finland, where it affects an estimated 1 in 60,000 newborns.

Approximately 65 percent of the human population has a reduced ability to digest lactose after infancy. Lactose intolerance in adulthood is most prevalent in people of East Asian descent, affecting more than 90 percent of adults in some of these communities. Lactose intolerance is also very common in people of West African, Arab, Jewish, Greek, and Italian descent.

The prevalence of lactose intolerance is lowest in populations with a long history of dependence on unfermented milk products as an important food source. For example, only about 5 percent of people of Northern European descent are lactose intolerant

The link you posted just backs up that most adults are lactose intolerant, so the word that i used, "likely" is being correctly used.

And the bike in my profile pic is a 16-speed.

Decreased your fat intake for a while and then ate a lot more fat than usual? That will move the system right along...or at least it does for me.

thanks everyone! well whether it's the shock from the fat, cheese/lactose, other allergy, or all in my head, I guess I'll have to figure it out. I've been having some other weird reactions generally after eating lunch (sometimes dinner, rarely breakfast). Guess I'll have to start testing to see what sets me off. Admittedly yesterday I thought it was a reaction to vinegar, but I didn't have any today (unless it's in the cesear dressing). Back to the drawing board...
