I am trying to lose a few pounds but also training for a half marathon. On my fitness pal's caloric recommendations I always feel kinda hungry. At my annual physical I brought it up to my Dr. who sent me to a nutritionist. She said that I should at a minimum be taking in 1500 calories, when my fitness pal recommends 1200, and then I get extra when I do my runs and strength training which I replenish after. What do you all think? See another nutritionist or is my fitness pal off? P.s. I am currently 5"2 and weigh in between 139-142

Set your own "custom" goals. I would never consider following MFP's guidelines. It may be hard to lose training, but it's not impossible, just focus on healthy, whole foods. Don't over complicate it, if you're hungry...eat!0

What did you set your weekly loss goal to on MFP? Bet it was 2lbs. Change it to a half. Also eat your exercise calories.0

I set it to 2 lb per week. But even if I switch to 1 lb it still only gives me 1,2000
