Losing weight & training for half marathon

Options
I am trying to lose a few pounds but also training for a half marathon. On my fitness pal's caloric recommendations I always feel kinda hungry. At my annual physical I brought it up to my Dr. who sent me to a nutritionist. She said that I should at a minimum be taking in 1500 calories, when my fitness pal recommends 1200, and then I get extra when I do my runs and strength training which I replenish after. What do you all think? See another nutritionist or is my fitness pal off? P.s. I am currently 5"2 and weigh in between 139-142

Set your own "custom" goals. I would never consider following MFP's guidelines. It may be hard to lose training, but it's not impossible, just focus on healthy, whole foods. Don't over complicate it, if you're hungry...eat! :)

What did you set your weekly loss goal to on MFP? Bet it was 2lbs. Change it to a half. Also eat your exercise calories.

I set it to 2 lb per week. But even if I switch to 1 lb it still only gives me 1,200
