What's your Hobby?

My friend and I were discussing how Mom's frequently give up the things that they enjoy while working and/or raising children.

I used to do lots of different crafts, now the stuff just sits in the attic collecting dust.

The gym has become my new hobby!

What's your's?

I also like to draw, paint, and make beaded jewelry, and work on my little "addiction"...my car! I'm always doing something to it...this week I'm putting speakers in the dash and in the doors:glasses: You'll be able to hear me coming, lol

I miss it too! My problem is I am a perfectionist and it took me so long to finish one page!!!

btw, you have a beautiful family!

Love scrapbooking!! I have a four year old and a 19 month old. I have my oldest pictures scrapped and no too far behind, my youngest.... two pages:cry: He keeps me soooo busy I don't have time to do that right now. Maybe when he goes to preschool i will be able to catch up:laugh:
I would love to go away for a weekend and accomplish a bunch of pages, that would be a nice mother's day gift?

I would say my ultimate hobby is photography.

I have done a few weddings, engagement sittings, and outdoor family portraits (those are my favorite). But it is only a hobby. I thought about taking it to a professional level but was afraid I would lose my passion for it!

CAKE DECORATING - yeah, have a separate refrigerator full of butter and confectioner's sugar frosting - how great is that for someone trying to eat healthy! It actually isn't much of a temptation. I see cake so much that I really have no desire for it, but the constant smell of baking does make me hungry.
  • I read ALOT, and my husband is quite happy about the public Library, he's told me many times we would never ever be able to support my reading habit lol. When Im really into I can finish a book/novel in less than a day :blushing:

I also enjoy baking and eatting it , unfortunately lol. Here is the cake I made for Easter this year. I was really proud of the way it turned out!

I spend the most time exercising - but it's more of a necessity, than a hobby for me.

also gardening, cooking, volunteer work, reading, & looking up the latest health information.

I also watch quite a few movies and spend a lot of time hanging out with friends and husband.

My husband's 20th HS reunion is coming up and for one of his hobbies he put eating  - it really is though. He's part hobbit. He eats: breakfast, second breakfast, lunch, after lunch snack, before dinner snack, dinner, after dinner snack. Utterly amazing.

My husband gets me books for birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day, etc. We have a pretty decent public library too, so most of the time I'm set. When I'm desperate I read online.

Looked at your cake - very cute.

I haven't had to give up any of my hobbies since my kids were born. I really didn't have any in the first place, lol!

But I have always enjoyed cooking and as you know with kids you get plenty of opportunity to do that! But I also love hiking!:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
