Belly Bulge question

What workouts do you use to help with belly bloat and bulge? I've been struggling to get the middle area toned down, and it's been difficult to find anything successful with a hernia in my belly button. Is there any other types of crunches, sit ups, planks that I'm not aware of that help people with weak backs or with hernias? What works best for you?

Eat at a caloric deficit and lift weights.

Bloat is generally temporary and caused by foods I eat.
Bulge is fat and reduced by a calorie deficit resulting in all over fat loss. Can't spot reduce or do exercises that target fat loss in a certain area - fat comes off where it wants to come off, and sometimes the belly is the last to go.
You can do exercises that will strengthen your core, but to get rid of the bulge, it takes lowering body fat percentage, and you do that with the deficit. And patience.0
