Slow Cooker Pulled Pork ! sooo good
I'm making this for tea tonight so thought i would share with you guys! Tastes great and has many simple ingredients!
3lb-4lb pork shoulder (trimmed well of all fat)
5 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 tsp mustard powder
500g passata
3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 cloves garlic (crushed)
2 tbsp sweetner like splenda
1/2 tsp each of salt and pepper
Place all the sauce ingredients in a small saucepan and whisk together, bring to the boil then simmer while whisking for about 15 minutes until thicker, Taste for seasoning might need a little more salt or pepper.
Place pork into a slow cooker and pour over the sauce and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
After this time use two forks to pull the meat apart into shreds and mix well into the sauce.
I've served mine with par boiled then baked chips ( par boil your chips then put onto baking tray, spray with Fry light and bake for 20 mins )
Or corn on the cob!

Passata is like a fine tomato purée0

just a hint for all you pork lovers, I used pork tenderloin when i do pulled pork in the slow cooker - there is hardly any fat on it and it "pulls" apart nicely0
