About to dig myself a perfect little grave here, but do men ever consider that women are conditioned to believe that we must marry a breadwinner because we aren't smart enough or strong enough to fend for ourselves? Get told the same thing over and over for generations and this is what happens.

    You're a woman.
    You're a Madonna or a *kitten*.
Statistics show you can do the same job but make less money.
You are held to a nearly impossible standard of beauty and eternal youth.

Some ladies transcend this with a strong upbringing and a good education.
    Some don't.
I have no interest in hating the women who haven't reached their potential.

The "I'm a woman, and society is holding me back" thing is beneath me, but I do think it's interesting how it's only women who are criticized in this scenario. I know guys who openly brag about how stupid, immature, and completely lacking in useful skills their girlfriends/wives are because, as long as she's hot and puts out on a regular basis, they don't care if they have to eat out at every meal and listen to one pointless conversation after another about The Bachelor and Real Housewives.

A man's earning potential is not as important to me as his work ethic. I make enough money to take care of myself. But if I'm going to marry someone, I insist on having the general sense of security that comes with knowing if he loses his job, he will bust his *kitten* to find another one and not just spend his days cracking open one beer after another on the back nine while I'm paying the bills. However, nothing is getting cheaper, in case y'all haven't noticed. It is not unwise to to think about your financial future when choosing a spouse.

I couldn't get past someone claiming to be the CEO of a big bank while thinking that 'advice' is a verb.

Errrr gawd that was tough to read - totally cringeworthy. Obviously both the question and response were written by the same person - I'm assuming an ESL speaker. I'd also assume it was created to passive aggressively put someone in their place. A touch sad. The underlying point is actually decent though.

You can't put it on the internet if it is not true. It's a law or something.
